Smith and Bruce Take FRBC Fish-Off

The two day False River Bass Club end-of-the-year fish off was held this past weekend. On day one anglers fished Lake Bruin. John Bruce (Team Go-Mart) and Danny Smith grabbed the lead with 5 nice Bruin bass weighing over 16 pounds. They also took the day one big bass with a 4.5 fish. Lake Bruin/St. John

As usual these Mississippi oxbow lakes are producing more fish than all the other area waters...The Rat-L-Trap bite is fair on Bruin and good on LSJ...I saw a 6 plus last week come off LSJ and several more nice size bass and some big hybrid stripers. Lake Bruin's deep bite is slow but will improve as water temps continue to drop....Big bites come deep on Bruin...The jig bite is.....

2009 Legend Alpha 199 SOLD

We sold this 2009 Legend Alpha 199SCX/Merc 225 ProXS to a local customer recently.. The sides are light gray (not white) Colors look much better than picture) with stripes fading from light burgundy to dark burgundy. Powered by Merc 225 ProXS mounted on the new Atlas T&H Hyd jack plate. Lowrance LCX 27C/GPS, LCX 520C/GPS and Hummingbird Side image/GPS....MinnKota 101 w/lift assist and lots more. The customer shopped Triton, BassCat and Ranger but went with LEGEND. All were priced about the same. It was the extreme quality and attention to detail that sold this Legend over all the others. This customer shopped long and hard and made what he said was "the BEST choice". nuff said
